Frequently Asked Questions
-
We intentionally use the term “Community Groups” because these gatherings are about more than crisis support. They are spaces to build relationships, find connection, share experiences, and create community around topics that can often feel isolating. You do not have to be in a place of deep struggle to attend. Everyone is welcome exactly where they are.
-
Anyone impacted by a perinatal experience is welcome, no matter how recent or long ago your experience was. Whether you are currently struggling, processing something from years ago, supporting a loved one, or simply looking for community with people who understand, you are welcome here.
-
No. Sharing is always optional. Some people come to talk, while others come simply to listen and be in a space where they feel understood. There is no pressure to participate in any particular way.
-
Our groups are open and ongoing, so you can come when you can. There is no requirement to attend every session, and you do not need to “start at the beginning.” We understand life, parenting, work schedules, and emotional capacity can vary from month to month.
-
Some groups are designed specifically for individuals experiencing certain perinatal challenges, while others may welcome partners or support people. Details for each group will be listed on the event or registration page.
-
No. These are community-based support spaces, not formal therapy groups. While some groups may be facilitated by mental health professionals, they are intended to provide connection, education, and peer support rather than clinical treatment.
